I found out I had a sister in 1995 rigth befor my father died and I found her in less than 24hrs. and when we met she looked more like my father than all of my other siblings. She was 39 years old and she is now 54 years old and we still keep in touch and love her so much.

Regarding purchasing a test you could not use in court - It is very sad that you wasted your money. Either the website you purchased the kit from should have informed you, or the person you spoke with were you purchased your test should have done so. If that did not occur, shame on the lab your purchased from! For instance: http://www.dna-testing-paternity.com/non_legal.php Let's hope more people don't make this mistake in the future. If you need the test for a LEGAL reason, it MUST be collected via photo documentation, using a chain of custody, collected by a third party. Period. Otherwise, there is not way to PROVE that the test results are actually for the correct people.

We wasted our money doing a home test, only to find out we had to do it all over again for the courts to prove the baby was ours. Wish we had known that home DNA kits are not legally admissible in court!
